The porcini mushroom is characterized by a very voluminous and fleshy hat. It’s a product that can be used as an appetizer, as a side dish and main course.

Porcino is the common name of some species of mushrooms of the genus Boletus, often attributed, also as a product name, to four species of boletuses (the section Edules of the genus Boletus) Boletus edulis and having morphological and organoleptic characteristics vaguely similar.

The mushrooms in the pan are a quick and easy side dish, ideal to accompany meat or fish dishes: also excellent for stuffing crepes and pies, or to combine with pilaf rice or polenta, so as to make a unique dish for those who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet.
